This is a list of ministry supplies we will need in the Amazon.  I know some of you have already been collecting things using the list in the handbook.  If you have collected anything that is not on this list, bring it, it will still be helpful.  These are simply the things that we will be needing the most!  Don't feel like you have to have everything on the list. 

Also there is a list of host gifts.  These are for the people we stay with as we travel and the pastors in the various villages.  It is so important that we show them we appreciate them after that are so generous to us.  Please make sure you have a couple of host gifts.  Please comment on what host gifts you are bringing.

 

 

Regarding ministry supplies to the Amazon:

eyeglasses - esp. reading glasses

medicines: ibuprofin, children's tylenol, anti-biotic cream, for yeast infections, and money to buy anti-parasiticals here.

paper - white, colored, and/or construction

paper plates

glue

scissors

paper bags

crayons

cotton balls

markers

balloons to make balloon animals

balloon pump

soccer/volley balls

pump with needles for balls

string

yarn

embroidery floss to make bracelets

any jewelry making supplies, beads, etc.

stickers

glitter

tape (duct tape - all colors)

popsicle sticks

coloring papers of Bible stories

book of children's Bible stories in Spanish

 


host gifts for pastors/hosts in villages:

Bibles in Spanish (small but complete are best, though NT w/Psalms ok)

baseball caps

t-shirts (not L)

headlamps

watches

shampoo

toothbrushes with toothpaste

children's coloring books with small box crayons

hair accessories

Christian books in Spanish

batteries - D and AAA
