note: mosquito nets and hammocks have not been listed because these will be bought by Jorge in Iquitos. Both items cost $15 each. If you want a specific hammock-net though, you need to get that in the states. If you don´t want to sleep in a hammock always, a sleeping pad would be adviseable for the floor. The hammock is still good to prevent mosquitos from coming up under the floor into your net.
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND packing in a hiking backpack if possible. It makes it so much easier to carry around; this is important since we will be doing a lot of traveling.
Clothes:

5. 1 pair casual pants (jeans, long shorts, etc.) for Iquitos and travel days
6. 2 pair work pants (jeans, etc.) for manual labor days and for protection from the bugs. (Bring a belt if you bring jeans, as they will stretch, since they won't be in a dryer)

10. 2 pair athletic socks. Long socks are great mosquito protection too

12. 2 t-shirts for manual labor (and exercise if desired)
