I talked to Kelli today and was able to get a good report about how things are going in the Jungle. Unfortunately the reception on the satellite phone wasn't great and we got cut off before I was able to get allot of details. Let me share what I got from them.

On the way up the river the barge broke down and they switched to the public barge until they reached their first destination. I am sure it was a great experience where they were able to see life through the eyes of the Peruvians.

As of my conversation with Kelli they were just finishing up ministry in their first location. They have been seeing good response from the VBS with the kids and have really been able to poor into them.

They also started a bible study with the two cooks who will be traveling with them over the course of their trip and they are excited to be able to invest in their lives.

The team has been really healthy with only a few people having a little upset stomach as they have been adjusting to life and food in the jungle. I can tell you from experience that this is a normal part of adjusting to the food and great news to me that everyone is healthy. Continue to pray for their health.

Today they are enjoying a rest day in San Juan and tomorrow they head to Roca Fuerte and another phase of ministry for them. Pray that God would go before them and prepare them for this next step in their ministry along the river.

The leaders call in once a week unless weather doesn't permit a satellite signal.ย The next time they are able to call in I will post another update. I look forward to hearing more about how God is using them in the Amazon!!

Thank you all for your prayers and support, they need it.

Scott
