Well,I
am pretty much an open book. First and for most I love God, and the
plans he has for my life. I also love to spend time with my friends and
family; as often as possible. I am a Family and Consumer Sciences Major
at Johnson and Wales University. Most people know my school as "that
cooking school." Well, there is more there than meets the eye...just
like me! My friends classify me as unique and that is fine with me.
They mainly title me that because I break the typical college student
mold. My program at school will allow me to teach high school classes
like Culinary, Nutrition, Parenting, Teen Choices, Relationships and
even Fashion and Interior Design. Most people consider these classes
vocational or life skills, they are not HOME EC! When I am not busy with
school I am usually thinking about school! This behavior gets to be
annoying at times, so I try to fill up my thoughts with my activities
like my mission and volunteer work or even my school involvement. Since
I tend to make myself rather busy, I like to spend time just relaxing
with friends at home, but I am a go with the flow type of person, so if
my friends want to go out then I go along too! I love that I live in
Denver because I love being outdoors and enjoying the tranquility that
goes along with it. I also love to cook, read, volunteer, work with my
old youth group and just continue to grow in my walk with God. This
past summer I worked with an organization called Kris' Camp; which
specializes in neurological music therapy and physical and speech
therapy for children with autism; so I spent a great summer cooking for
the campers and there families and taking on jobs of working with the
autistic children as well as with their siblings.
